Olivia Steele
ABOUT ME
Olivia Steele is a captivating artist whose unique style blends rock and country elements, with a bit of hippie vibes and Americana soul. As a kid, Olivia recalls how easy it was to remember lyrics while riding in the car with her mom and singing along to 60s, 70s, and 80s music and songs by Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton and Billy Joel.

After high school, Olivia set out on her own, seeking stability and putting herself through school while working various jobs to make ends meet. She eventually ended up in Arizona, where there were times when everything she owned could fit in the backseat of her car. However, one thing she could never part with was the acoustic guitar she had kept since childhood, a symbol of her unwavering passion for music.
During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Olivia got serious about writing music. The pivotal moment in her journey came that same year, after performing at a local coffee shop. “I stepped off the stage and felt like I had finally figured out who I was.”
August of 2021 Olivia was planning a trip to east Tennessee to visit friends. Prior to the trip a friend passed along the contact information to legendary Nashville producer Kent Wells. The two set up a meeting during Olivia’s Tennessee trip and it became clear that it was time for Olicia to make the jump and move to Nashville full time and begin working on her debut project that was to be produced and coordinated by Kent.
After the move in late 2021, Olivia began the writing process for the project which would eventually be titled “Old Soul, Young Heart”. The album title as well as the topics and emotions touched on in the project were all inspired from Olivia as she processed and reflected on her life up to this point and the experiences she had to push her to pursue music full time.
Cowriting was an integral part of this project. The collaboration process was very important to Olivia, she wanted to not only tell her own stories through the songs on this album but she also wanted to include the influence of others to paint a story that as many people could relate to as possible
Now, Olivia spends most of her time writing music and performing around the city. “I love being present when I am on stage. It’s like the whole room stands still and we are all part of a shared experience.”
Olivia’s fun, and adventurous personality brings a refreshing authenticity to her storytelling through song. She is intrigued by the human experience, crafting honest and real music that resonates with her audience. “I want to help people feel a little less alone with my songs.”
